More than 190,000 Palm Beach County residents rely on food stamps for survival (a 300% increase since 2008).
In Palm Beach County, there are more than 100 agencies that feed tens of thousands of hungry children, families and senior citizens. The Palm Beach County Food Bank provides food to agencies from Boca Raton to Tequesta and west to Belle Glade and Pahokee. The needs are significant.
The Palm Beach County Food Bank, (a non-profit organization) rescues, collects and distributes food to agencies that take on the daily responsibility of feeding the hungry.
With your support we can make a difference in the lives of children, families and seniors in our community.
What We Do
The Palm Beach County Food Bank is committed to aiding those agencies who take on the daily responsibility of serving the hungry and poor. We are dedicated to improving the collection and distribution process while fighting food insecurity in our community. The Palm Beach County Food Bank is the only locally led and governed food bank in Palm Beach County that distributes food to these agencies at no cost.
A food bank operates similar to a wholesale food distributor (such as Cheney Bros. and Sysco) distributing to restaurants and country clubs, where as the Food Bank distributes to local food pantries, homeless shelters, and soup kitchens.
The Palm beach County Food Bank works solely on donations. We count Publix, Starbucks, Chipotle, Wellington Fresh Market, The Breakers Palm Beach, Pepperidge Farm, more than 15 local farms, and countless corporate and community organizations as partners in this effort.
