Join our Mission


We rely on our amazing volunteers each and every day to help with important tasks such as sorting and packing food donations, preparing our weekend backpacks for schools, administrative work and more. We could not do our job of helping our community without our amazing volunteers. To register for available volunteer opportunities, click on the applicable link below.

Each volunteer must complete the Volunteer Application, the last three appendices of the Volunteer Handbook, and the Volunteer Waiver.


Please note: Minors looking to volunteer must have all lines requiring a signature co-signed by their parent or legal guardian.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Our group volunteer opportunities take place in our warehouse. We have group opportunities available twice a day Monday through Thursday from 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm, and once a day Fridays 9am – 12pm. Groups of 10 or more may volunteer on a Saturday when available. As a volunteer you will be helping your community by sorting and boxing an array of food items that will then be delivered to families in Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach County Food Bank can accommodate up to 15 volunteers per group session. Children 14-15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. We do require 1 adult per 5 minors under the age of 16.

Individual Opportunities

Our individual volunteer opportunities take place in our warehouse. We have opportunities available twice a day Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and  1 p.m. - 4 p.m., and once a day Fridays 9am - 12pm. To sign up for a shift please visit pbcfoodbank.volunteerhub.com, create an account, and select from shifts that best fit your schedule. If you are a family, and would like to schedule time to work together, please reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator directly. As a volunteer you will be helping your community by sorting and boxing an array of food items that will then be delivered to families in Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach County Food Bank welcomes the help of children age 14-15 years, but they must be accompanied by an adult.

VOLUNTEER SIGNUP

Court Ordered Community Service

The Palm Beach County Food Bank welcomes individuals seeking to collect volunteer hours for court ordered community service. Court ordered community service volunteers must be handled on a case to case basis, and will be scheduled by the Volunteer Engagement Manager directly.


We have opportunities available twice a day Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., and once a day Fridays 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.


To schedule court ordered volunteer shifts please complete the forms linked below and email the following information to volunteer@pbcfoodbank.org:

  • Legal First and Last Name
  • Phone Number
  • Required Amount of Hours (Court Ordered Document)
  • Copy of Driver's License
